Jobsearch Support for Newly Unemployed Professionals
Under the scheme funded by Jobcentre Plus, HtR Outplacement provides Jobcentre Plus
Customers with job hunting support and guidance on a 1-2-1 or Group basis, locally to where JCP Customers live.
The programme we deliver to JCP Customer is designed to help them in their hunt for a new job, covering:
- CV Writing - Chronological and Functional (Skills based CV’s)
- Transferable Skills - identifying how they may ‘repackage’ themselves
and move into different types of roles
- The A to Z of Job Hunting - focussing heavily upon how approximately 70% of jobs being filled are not being advertised, and how to tap into this ‘hidden’ job market
- Effective use of CV Databases, Job Alerts, Job Spiders - Our Consultants logging into sites to demonstrate show how to use them
- Interview Guidance - preparation and how to handle both skill and common interview questions (100 interview questions detailed in the guide provided to all Customers supported)
- Identifying the skills and experience required by a role - helping you focus your CV and covering letter to applications, and prepare answers to potential interview questions
Although a ‘one off’ programme, it is important all Customers we support end up with a ‘fit for purpose’ CV, and where changes are suggested, Customers are encouraged to forward amended CV’s to our Consultant for further review.

To be referred to HtR for support under the scheme, please contact your Jobcentre Plus Advisor, ask them to refer you to HTR and quote the LMS Provision Reference Number - COQ 42335. Support will be provided within 10 working days of our receipt of your referral SL2 Form (subject to Customer availability).
Primarily Jobcentre Plus Customers are supported on a face to face basis, but as an alternative we can provide the Internet Based Support by utilising ‘Virtual Meeting Rooms’.
